My story with Ian goes back nearly 30 years when he showed kindness and encouragement to a young speccy lad from manchester, gave me a couple of demo tapes and sent me on my way.

I caught up with Ian maybe 15 years later and we quickly became friends. Ian’s music means the world to me and has been as important to me as James Taylor or James Hendrix.

He is a songsmith of the highest standard, a truly wonderful guitarist and a massive supporter of every aspect of the arts.
